Ronnie McNeir

Ronnie McNeir was born on December 14, 1949 in Alabama. In 1977, he recorded two tracks with The Four Tops that appeared on their album The Show Must Go On. He became their musical director soon after, and is also on their 1995 Christmas album Christmas Here With You.

 

In 2002, he was a temporary replacement for Levi Stubbs who was ill. He became part of The Four Tops lineup as a replacement for Lawrence Payton (who was originally replaced by Theo Peoples, but Peoples moved to lead singer when Stubbs permanently retired). He still tours with The Four Tops today.
